Service Description

Grab an epic ride on the longest continuous left hand break in Bali. Medewi is a beautiful rare scenic gem on the island of the gods and a perfect place for an uncrowded surf lesson away from the hustle and bustle of the southern surf 'n party areas of Bali. This quiet town is home to traditional fishing vessels, temples, beautiful black volcanic sand beaches and lacks the noisy pubs or clubs. Our Head Coach is a local from this area and knows exactly how to tame this amazing break. There are also other breaks in the area (Medewi right, Balian) dependent on tides and your ability. We start early (6:30-7am) for the approximate 2.5 hour drive to Medewi. We'll pick you and your board(s) if you have them (or we can supply or rent one on the way), in our comfortable, air-conditioned Surf Lessons Bali van. Your Surf Lessons Bali instructor can check the tides, wind and swell to find the best break available for the day to suit your abilities. We'll pick you up from your accommodation generally about 7am and drop you back home afterwards, right at your front door! Exactly what you need if you're a bit tired after ripping all day! We can provide a high quality beginners foamie surfboard, a rash vest and sun cream. If you're after a hard board we can talk about your requirements as we have a couple on hand, or hire something specific to your needs and the conditions (at your additional cost). Our \sessions start with a brief overview of the location and any local hazards and our instructor will then act as your surf buddy to keep you safe and informed in the line up. Once our session is finished you can lie back with a complimentary bottle of filtered water, soda or a frothy bintang in air-conditioned comfort as we drive you back to your accommodation. We can even call into any other areas of interest on the way back if you wish. Expected arrival time back in Canggu area is approximately 3pm but depends on traffic.
